Capitol Hill Day

Join MENTOR Maryland | DC on January 29, 2020 for the sixth annual Capitol Hill Day by signing up to participate when you register for the Summit*. This important advocacy event brings Members of Congress and their staff face to face with mentors, advocates, professionals, and researchers to talk about critical issues facing the nation’s young people and the legislation and policies they can help implement to expand access to quality mentoring opportunities.
Schedule of Events
- Tuesday, January 28, 2020 2:00 – 5:00 PM: Advocacy Workshop (training, activities, networking, and materials to prepare you for Congressional visits)
- Wednesday, January 29, 2020 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM: Capitol Hill Day!
- Wednesday, January 29, 2020 4:00 – 6:00 PM: Summit Welcome Reception (on Capitol Hill)
Information about Capitol Hill Day will be emailed to registered participants beginning in December. Each Capitol Hill Day participant will attend two webinars to prepare for the event, these dates and times will be emailed from your State Captain.

Not able to attend the 2020 National Mentoring Summit in person this year? Good news! You can still participate in Capitol Hill Day from home. Virtual Capitol Hill Day participants will be able to send messages to their Members of Congress via MENTOR’s Advocacy page to support their colleagues in Washington, D.C..
