BCYF Event: Engaging Families in Youth Development Activities | 5:30P – 7:30P

This session will explore best practices for leveraging one of the most critical components of youth development – parents and families. As we know, parents and families are too often left out of the equation, and this session will allow us to examine and mitigate this trend.

Learning Objective:  Participants will learn about the importance of family engagement and how consistent family engagement practices positively impacts youth outcomes across various social domains. Moreover, participants will learn of the vital roles and functions that families can perform to support their children’s and youth’s development and success, along with promising and effective strategies that are needed to  enhance family engagement practices
