BCYF Event: Incorporating Authentic Youth Voice and Creating Youth-Friendly Programming | 5:30P – 7:30P

This session, which is all about incorporating authentic youth voices, will provide a deep dive on leveraging best practices, along with a youth leaders panel and an examination of elements of Critical Mentoring.

Learning Objective: Participants will increase their understanding of the importance of how giving young people an authentic voice in their programming empowers them and makes them feel like they belong, they are valued, and their contributions matter, and how these competency feelings help youth fully engage and develop team building and leadership skills.In addition, participants will be made aware of the benefits of meaningfully incorporating youth voices into their programming, which will help youth develop social and emotional skills that will enable them to thrive and prosper later into adulthood.
