Micheal Petry

A board member since 2020, Mike serves as the Treasurer of MENTOR MARYLAND | DC, where he helped with the 2021 merger with Mentor Prize and assist leadership with the financial and administrative objections of the organization. Mike is an audit partner in the Baltimore office of KPMG LLP, where he focuses on life sciences and technology companies, ranging from early stage to large public companies. In his role, he leads the development of growth strategy and overseeing the execution of client services across audit, tax, and advisory service lines within the life sciences space for Maryland and Virginia. He is a frequent speaker on financial and accounting issues for emerging growth companies.  

He currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board for the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University, the Accounting Advisory Board for Salisbury University and coaches his sons’ youth sports teams.  He previously served as Chairman of the Career Advisory Board for Perdue School of Business and on the finance committee of Catholic Community of South Baltimore and St. Rose of Lima Church. Mike had many great mentors in his life, both personally and professionally, and strongly believes in the mission of MENTOR MD|DC to expand the breadth and depth of mentoring across the region.
